Ref: UOS000657 Senior Lecturer in Luxembourg Studies (Equivalent to Associate Professor) Department of Germanic Studies School of Modern Languages and Linguistics Grade 9 £46,510 to £52,347 per annum, with potential to progress to £60,685 This is a newly-established post, funded by the Luxembourg Government and located in Germanic Studies within the School of Modern Languages and Linguistics, Faculty of Arts & Humanities.The Senior Lecturer in Luxembourg Studies will develop a programme for the teaching of Luxembourg Studies (i.e. Luxembourgish language together with the culture and/or literature of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg), undertake advanced research into one or more specialised areas of Luxembourg Studies, pursue funding and develop other academic activities. The successful candidate will also teach and pursue research in areas cognate with Luxembourg Studies, e.g. Germanic linguistics, or German literary or cultural studies. The post-holder will foster academic cooperation between the University of Sheffield and the University of Luxembourg, as well as with other relevant institutions.
