Description:
The English as an International Language Program (URL above) seeks to fill a continuing position to be taken up in February 2011 with an expert in the area of English as an International Language who has a strong and dynamic research and teaching profile. It is essential that the appointee has experience in teaching English as an International Language, Sociolinguistics of English, World Englishes and Intercultural Communication. In addition to being competent to teach units in all delivery modes from the areas identified above, the successful applicant will be expected to undertake substantial supervision of research students; engage in original and innovative research and apply for competitive research funding. The applicant must also be prepared to collaborate in research, team teaching, and curriculum development and undertake a share of administrative tasks within the program and/or School.
