Candidates for this position should be located either in North America or in Europe. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES - Evaluating design and quality of pronunciation dictionaries - Identifying new entries for general and specialized dictionaries - Correcting existing dictionary entries - Phonetic transcription - Serving as a language expert resource for engineers and researchers - Managing language consultant contractors LANGUAGE SKILL REQUIREMENTS 1. English: native or near-native skill 2. Native skill in at least one language from the following list: Norwegian, Danish, Finnish, Hungarian, Indonesian, Polish, Czech, Slovak, Slovenian, Croatian, Serbian, Bulgarian, Romanian, Galician, Catalan, Basque, Estonian, Lithuanian, Latvian, Icelandic, Malay, Ukrainian, (Modern) Greek, Turkish, Farsi, Thai, Hebrew, Vietnamese, Tagalog, and Urdu. 3. A high degree of proficiency in at least one additional language from the above list. The second language should come from a different family than the first. Additionally, if the first language is Romance, the second may not be Germanic (and vice-versa).
