The fifth European Dialect Syntax Workshop is organized by the Meertens Institute, the University of Amsterdam and the Edisyn-project. It will take place at the University of Amsterdam, The Netherlands, on June 25, 2011. It will be preceded by the 26th Comparative Germanic Syntax Workshop on June 23-24, 2011. Invited Speaker: Rafaella Zanuttini (Yale). For information on previous editions of the European Dialect Syntax Workshop and the European Dialect Syntax network: http://www.dialectsyntax.org. European Dialect Syntax 5 is sponsored by the University of Amsterdam, the Meertens Institute and the Edisyn project (EURYI-ESF). Call for Papers: We invite abstracts for thirty-minute talks (followed by ten minutes of discussion) on any aspect of the syntactic analysis of European dialects. Abstract guidelines: Abstracts should not exceed two pages, including data, references and diagrams. Abstracts should be typed in at least 11-point font, with one-inch margins (letter-size; 8''1/2 by 11'' or A4) and a maximum of 50 lines of text per page. Abstracts must be anonymous and submissions are limited to 1 individual and 1 joint abstract per author. Abstract submission only via EasyChair. Deadline for abstract submission is February 1, 2011.
