We'd like to remind readers that the responses to queries are usually best posted to the individual asking the question. That individual is then strongly encouraged to post a summary to the list. This policy was instituted to help control the huge volume of mail on LINGUIST; so we would appreciate your cooperating with it whenever it seems appropriate.
In addition to posting a summary, we'd like to remind people that it is usually a good idea to personally thank those individuals who have taken the trouble to respond to the query.

Ciências Sociais e Humanas of Universidade Nova de Lisboa. My
research is focused on the importance of the Portuguese language in
the global translation and localization market.
Part of the study seeks to obtain the views of different actors in the
language industry (Portuguese language service providers, companies
operating in Portuguese speaking countries and consumers) on the
importance of translating and localizing "User Guides" and "Service
Manuals" into Portuguese (both European and Brazilian).
Herewith, I would like to ask your cooperation to fill in a brief survey, in
case you are translators into Portuguese, either a:
