Description:
This is an announcement of 6 postdoctoral research positions in the newly formed Australian Research Council Centre of Excellence for Cognition and its Disorders at Macquarie University, Sydney, Australia. At least one of the postdoctoral positions, and possibly two, will be dedicated to the language program, which includes projects investigating language disorders, including Specific Language Impairment. We encourage applications from language researchers with experience in experimental methodology, and with an interest in the study of SLI or other language disorders from a linguistic perspective. Successful candidates will work in collaboration with a team of researchers, including Stephen Crain, Katherine Demuth, Rosalind Thornton, Mabel Rice, and Blake Johnson. Applicants would carry out research, assist with supervision of PhD research, and contribute to the intellectual life of the Centre. The positions are available from January 2011 for a period of 3 years, with a one year probationary period.
