Western Michigan University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Spanish linguistics beginning August 2011 at the rank of Assistant Professor, pending budgetary approval. Specialists with expertise in corpus linguistics and/or syntax are especially encouraged to apply. Knowledge in the field of second-language acquisition is also desirable. Successful candidates are expected to have a well-defined research agenda, to teach both undergraduate and graduate courses, and to have completed the PhD by August 2011. The Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching places WMU among the 76 public institutions in the nation designated as research universities with high research activity.
