The Conference will take place from Friday, May 28, through Saturday, May 29, 2010 at the Hong Kong Institute of Education, Hong Kong. Call for Papers The Conference aims at setting up a platform for discussion and sharing of initiatives, pedagogical practices and research findings regarding the teaching and learning of English in the early years for children in the Asia Pacific Region. Themes: - Curriculum, pedagogies and assessment - Language and literacy development - Language education policies - Teacher education - Home-school partnership The abstract should contain no more than 300 words, using a 12 pt. font with 2.5 cm (or 1 inch) margins on all sides. Name of participant, affiliation, e-mail address, contact phone numbers and fax number should be put on a separate page. Abstract can be sent to Dr. Lornita Wong at tleey ied.edu.hk on or before 1 March, 2010. Notification of acceptance: 15 March 2010
