Meeting Description:

We are pleased to announce the 1st International Postgraduate Conference in
Linguistics at the University of Cyprus (LoT), to take place from 7 to 8 May
2010. LoT is an opportunity for postgraduate students to gather, present and
discuss their work in an intellectually stimulating setting.

The conference is organized by postgraduate students from the Department of
English Studies of the University of Cyprus.

Second Call for Papers

We invite abstracts for oral and poster presentations from postgraduate students
in any area of linguistic research (Theoretical/Applied Linguistics,
Sociolinguistics, Language Acquisition, Language Teaching and other relevant
topics in linguistics).

A 20 minute presentation will be followed by a 10 minute discussion. The
conference language is English.

- Peter Patrick (University of Essex)
- Barbara Lust (Cornell University)
- Henk van Riemsdijk (Tilburg University)

Abstract Submission Guidelines:
Abstracts should be anonymous (up to two pages long including the data and
references); font size not smaller than 12 and 1.5 line spacing. Abstracts
should be submitted via e-mail as an attachment (Microsoft Word or PDF files) to
linguisttomorrowgmail.com. Abstracts should include the title of the paper, the
research focus and methodology as well as a brief summary of the findings. A
short list of references should also be provided. The e-mail message
accompanying the abstract should contain the name(s) of the author(s) and their
affiliation(s); the e-mail address and the telephone number of the contact
person and the required equipment for the presentation (e.g.OHP, projector, laptop).
