The LINGUIST List strongly encourages employers to use non-discriminatory standards in hiring policy. In particular we urge that employers do not discriminate on the grounds of race, ethnicity, nationality, age, religion, gender, or sexual orientation. However, we have no means of enforcing these standards.

Job seekers should pay special attention to language in ads regarding employment requirements and are encouraged to consult our international employment page at http://linguistlist.org/jobs/jobnet.html. This page has been set up so that people can report on the employment standards of various countries.

CASTL is a Norwegian Center of Excellence funded by the Research Council of

center currently consists of 6 senior researchers, 6 post-docs/researchers
and 17 PhD students. The research group in acquisition currently includes a
full-time professor, 2 part-time professors, and 3 post-doctoral research

School and to complete a doctoral dissertation.

The PhD project in bilingual language acquisition will be integrated into

The successful applicant will have to document qualifications in
linguistics at the Master's level. Applicants will be assessed by an expert
committee. The main emphasis of the assessment will be on the applicant's
potential for research, as evident from: Master's thesis or equivalent,
