Meeting Description:

We invite advanced students (Ph.D. or M.A. level) in linguistics and related
fields to attend this 3-week event in August/September 2010. It is co-organized
by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Sprachwissenschaft (DGfS), the Max Planck
Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology, the University of Leipzig, and the
Fédération Typologie et Universaux Linguistiques (CNRS, Paris).

The Summer School offers courses in different areas of linguistics, which look
at language from the point of view of linguistic typology (phonology,
morphology, syntax, semantics, areal typology, sign language typology, language
contact, language acquisition). The courses will be taught by distinguished
linguists from Germany, France and elsewhere.
