Description:
We are looking for a top-notch Language Engineer to join our team and help build next generation customer solutions based on our text processing capabilities. Our sophisticated core technologies involve text analytics, machine learning and natural language processing used in consumer and government applications. Responsibilities: As a smart and creative Language Engineer, you will enhance Janya's Semantex platform by adding new language processing capabilities. Job responsibilities will include lexicon/ontology design; feature mapping; word classification; entity and relationship recognition; data analysis; synonym, hyponym, antonym construction; search term expansion, grammar development: pattern matching rules, topic driven grammars. Practical experience in writing computational grammars and lexicons is required. Expertise in discourse-level processing and/or semantics is required. Work experience in production-quality NLP systems such as GATE, LingPipe, Attensity, Clarabridge, Open Calais, Teragram etc. is required. Expertise in corpus-based or empirical approaches to language is highly desirable. Multi-lingual expertise is also desirable. Requirements: * Minimum of 2-3 years hands-on experience with large-scale text processing systems * Minimum of 1-2 years in languages such as Perl, Python, C/C++, or Java. * Experience in computational linguistics * Business and scientific information domain expertise is a big plus * You should have a solid understanding of complex engineering process, design and testing methodologies * You should have a love of innovation, a can-do attitude, enthusiasm for learning new topics, and sharing knowledge with others * You will need to be an innovative thinker and a strong communicator. * Must have Bachelor's degree; Master's Degree is a plus. * US citizen preferred. * Prior Security Clearance or ability to get Security Clearance a plus. This is a chance to not only work with some of the smartest engineers around, but also develop cutting edge technology to assist businesses and organizations to discover, understand and act on the hidden knowledge within their information repositories.
