Description:
Roles and responsibilities: The successful candidate will work in Test and Product Development division in the Palo Alto office of the Knowledge Technologies group of Pearson. There are two main job responsibilities: 1) Managing banks of test questions for both low-stakes and high-stakes tests and 2) assisting test development managers in everyday test construction, maintenance and management operations. Typical tasks include but not limited to: coordinating the cycle of new item development and item refreshment processes, managing external item writers, assisting field testing activities, and checking the operation of existing tests. Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree is required. Graduate degree in linguistics, TESOL, educational technology, or educational assessment is preferred. Working experience in industry is a plus, but not required. Desirable Qualities: -Meticulous, detail-oriented, efficient -Can work collaboratively with other team members -Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English -Good computer skills -Additional foreign languages other than English would be a plus About us: Knowledge Technologies is a leader in automated spoken and written assessments, which utilize natural language processing techniques, advanced statistical modeling and speech recognition technologies.
