Meeting Description:
This is an introductory seminar for researchers and both graduate and post-graduate students in Linguistics. Its aim is to introduce some of the current trends in research in the different areas of Pragmatics, among them issues in Speech Acts Theory, experimental pragmatics, applications of Relevance Theory, the pragmatics of humour, cyberpragmatics or interlanguage pragmatics.
