The International Symposium on Bilingualism (ISB) is widely regarded as the leading international forum for the discussion and dissemination of research results on bilingualism/ multilingualism. The International Symposium on Bilingualism ISB8 will take place in Oslo, Norway, on June 15 – 18, 2011.
Registration for ISB8 is open. The program has been posted on the conference website: www.hf.uio.no/isb8 Invited keynote speakers at ISB8: -Jannis Androutsopoulos (Universität Hamburg) -Kees de Bot (Rijksuniversiteit Groningen) -Annick De Houwer (Universität Erfurt) -Ceil Lucas (Gallaudet University) -Sari Pietikäinen (Jyväskylän Yliopisto) There will also be an invited panel: Multilingualism in Late-modern Africa: Identity, Mobility and Multivocality. Convenor: Charlyn Dyers (University of the Western Cape) Poster prizes will be awarded by Cambridge University Press on behalf of the journal Bilingualism: Language and Cognition.
