Workshop on Innovation and Challenges in Second Language Pedagogy University of Toronto at Mississauga May 13-14, 2011 This conference focuses on the innovations and challenges in second language pedagogy. Areas of particular interest include: - Innovations and challenges in second language teaching and learning - New pedagogical aspects of online learning - Best methods in using web based technologies for language learning - Promoting the use of new technologies amongst language teaching
Call for Papers: Abstracts are invited for paper presentations, round tables or discussion panels focused on the theme of the workshop. All papers must be original (i.e., not previously presented in public) and unpublished work. Areas of particular interest include: - Innovations and challenges in second language teaching and learning - New pedagogical aspects of online learning - Best methods in using web based technologies for language learning - Promoting the use of new technologies amongst language teaching Paper presentation sessions will be 20 minutes followed by a 10-minute discussion period. Proposals for round tables or panels may be organized around three to five panelists followed by a discussion period. Abstracts and proposals should be submitted by email in .rtf or .pdf format to Dr. Azita Taleghani (azita.taleghani utoronto.ca) by February 28, 2011. Please write 'Abstract Submission' in the subject line and list the following information in the body of the message: -Title of your paper -Your name -Affiliation -Telephone number -E-mail address Abstracts should be in English, maximum 500 words in length, excluding illustrations and references. Abstracts must also include 3-4 keywords describing the content of the paper. Notification of acceptance will be given by March 15, 2011.
