Meeting Description:

This is a pioneering event for professionals in immersion, bilingual and dual-language education in Brazil to gather and inform professional practice.

Confirmed speakers include Dr. Fred Genesee, Dr. Elena Brodova, Dr. Myriam Met, Dr. Else Hamayan, Dr. Margo Gottlieb, Peeter Mehisto and Georgia Heard.

Call for Papers:

You may submit a proposal to present either a Workshop or a Presentation. All times slots are 1:15. 'Presentations', should allow 15 minutes for questions.

Only proposals that address the conference theme of, 'Pathways to Bilingualism: Pedagogy, Best Practices and Accountability', will be considered. You should therefore include the methodology that is the backbone to the presentation/workshop, the classroom applications that will be presented and how this was, or can be assessed or monitored in a school setting.

Proposals must be submitted via email and you must use the proposal form that corresponds to the language of the presentation. The two official languages of the conference are Portuguese and English. There is no limit to the number of proposals you may submit.

Submission deadline: Friday, September 23rd, 2011
