Since the 1980s grammaticalization theory has emerged as a key theory to understand and explain language change. The examination of constant new empirical data has contributed to enrich and refine the theoretical framework. The purpose of this conference is to continue to explore the various facets of grammaticalization by proposing state-of-the-art papers not only in traditional areas of grammaticalization but also on innovative phenomena. New research on the following topics is specially welcome: grammaticalization and constructions; grammaticalization and gradualness and/or gradience; grammaticalization and (inter)subjectification; grammaticalization and prosody; grammaticalization and right-boundary adverbials. L’Université de Rouen organise un colloque international sur la théorie de la grammaticalisation et les données du 10 au 11 mai 2012.
