The DiÖ conference focuses on the synchronic and diachronic variation of the German language in Austria. All linguistic levels in the diasystemic and contact linguistic context are addressed, such that all involved varieties of German and relevant contact languages are considered. To provide diversity in theoretical and empirical approaches, the conference topic is designed to be broadly based.
