Keynote Speakers: Norma Mendonza-Denton, University of Arizona Carmen Silva-Corvalán, University of Southern California Invited Speaker: Kathryn Woolard, University of California, San Diego Call for Papers: All sociolinguistic research studies will be considered but papers on language variation and change, language contact, language attitudes, bilingualism, and Spanish in the US are especially welcome. Papers and presentations can be delivered in Spanish or English. Proposals are invited for individual papers and posters. Individual Papers: Papers can be presented by one or more authors within a twenty-minute period, with additional ten minutes for discussion. Posters: Posters are to present one-on-one discussion of research. A block of time will be devoted to presentations of posters. Abstracts must be one page in length (in addition to references), and must include title of paper, name, academic affiliation, address, telephone number, e-mail, and audiovisual requests. Abstracts must be submitted through EasyAbstracts (EasyAbs, http://linguistlist.org/confcustom/wss6). Please indicate whether you want to be considered for a paper presentation, a poster, or both. Submissions are limited to one individual and one joint abstract per person. Selected papers will be published by Cascadilla Proceedings Project.
