The 1st International Seminar on Language Acquisition (I Seminário Internacional de Aquisição da Linguagem) will be held from November 16 to 18, 2011, at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul, in Porto Alegre, Brazil. The Seminar touches on a variety of topics in the area of acquisition, including the acquisition of native and foreign languages, linguistic awareness and literacy, bilingualism, language reorganization in aphasics, LIBRAS, Portuguese as an Additional Language (PAL) and foreign language reading.
