Meeting Description:

The University of Michigan hosts an annual summer research program for
undergraduate students. The eight week long program is intended for
students who plan to pursue PhD study, and who are considering the
University of Michigan as a possibility for graduate school. The program is
aimed in particular at outstanding undergraduate students who are
underrepresented in their field of study. The Linguistics Department will
participate in the Summer 2011 program, and will select three applicants for
participation.

Students who participate will be involved in conducting research under the
mentorship of faculty from the University of Michigan. The linguistics faculty
who will participate in the 2011 program are:

Stipend: Participants will receive a stipend of $4000.00
Lodging: Participants will receive free campus housing and a campus meal
plan
Travel: Round-trip transportation to and from the University of Michigan will
be provided
