Undergraduate Summer Research Opportunity Program Short Title: SROP Date: 31-May-2011 - 28-Jul-2011 Location: Ann Arbor, MI, USA Contact: Andries Coetzee Contact Email: coetzee umich.edu Meeting URL: http://www.rackham.umich.edu/student_life/diversity/community/srop/ Linguistic Field(s): General Linguistics Meeting Description: The University of Michigan hosts an annual summer research program for undergraduate students. The eight week long program is intended for students who plan to pursue PhD study, and who are considering the University of Michigan as a possibility for graduate school. The program is aimed in particular at outstanding undergraduate students who are underrepresented in their field of study. The Linguistics Department will participate in the Summer 2011 program, and will select three applicants for participation. Students who participate will be involved in conducting research under the mentorship of faculty from the University of Michigan.
