Meeting Description:
The Society for Pidgin and Creole Linguistics will meet in Portland, Oregon, January 6-7, 2012, in conjunction with the 86th Annual Meeting of the Linguistic Society of America. Abstracts (500 words) on the phonology, morphology, syntax, semantics, lexicon, social aspects of language, history of the discipline, education or any pertinent issue involving Pidgin and Creole languages or other contact languages are invited, beginning July 21st, 2011 for anonymous review. Abstract submission closes August 26th, 2011. Presenters at SPCL conferences must be members of the SPCL. For co-authored presentations, at least one author must be a member of the SPCL.
