We hope to bring together international scholars with a range of interests in historical lexical studies, including professional lexicographers, interested in applying and developing new research methods in this area of English historical linguistics. The proceedings of the first two HEL-LEX symposia are available online and in hard copy (Cascadilla Proceedings Project; Cascadilla Press). Plenarists: Professor Lynda Mugglestone (Pembroke college, Oxford), Dr Philip Durkin, Principal Etymologist of the Oxford English Dictionary, Oxford University Press, and Professor Michael Adams (University of Indiana, Bloomington). Call for Papers: Papers covering any aspect of English historical lexicography and lexicology, as well as subjects which involve other languages by way of a comparative study are welcome. Please submit an abstract of not more than 1 A4 page to hellex-2012helsinki.fi not later than Sept 30, 2011.
