Linguistic Field(s): Neurolinguistics
Call Deadline: 31-Oct-2011
Meeting Description:
The workshop aims at all PhD-students, postdocs and researchers who are interested in the neural mechanisms of music and language processing, especially those which might be shared by or separated in both modalities. It will cover the three areas of auditory processing: music, language and non-speech signals.
Call for Papers: PhD-students, postdocs and researchers coming from all scientific fields (psychology, neurology, linguistics, etc.) investigating the neural mechanisms of auditory processing are invited to submit an abstract with their work. The work has to investigate the auditory processing of music, language and/or non-speech signals with MEG, EEG, fMRI or other neuroimaging tools. Please indicate if you want to join the poster presentation or if you are interested in giving an oral talk about your topic. The deadline for the submission is 31 October 2011. If you wish to present your own work as a poster or in one of the sessions, please send us an abstract to info simal2012.de. Please add 'submission' to the subject. The abstract text, excluding the title, authors and affiliations, should not be longer than 200 words and sent as a *.txt file.
