Uppsala University (Sweden) and Vilnius University (Lithuania) start in
September 2011 a distance course in the highly endangered Karaim
language spoken in Lithuania. The purpose of the course is to provide a
first overview of the status of Karaim in the Turkic language family, the
phonology, grammar, morphology, and syntax of Karaim, as well as
certain elementary language skills and reading skills in different writing
systems for Karaim. For more information contact professor Eva A. Csato
