The African Languages & Literatures Section of the School of Languages &
Literatures invites applications for the above position, for appointment as
soon as possible.
- A Master's degree (progress towards a PhD would be a recommendation)
- Experience in teaching isiXhosa to 2nd language speakers (at tertiary
level would be a strong recommendation)
- An active research interest in the field
- A background in Linguistics (would be a recommendation)
- Strong administrative skills
- Proficiency in English
- Teaching isiXhosa as a 2nd language from beginners to advanced level in
- Engagement in research and the publication of the results of such research
- Administration of programmes and courses
- Materials development
The 2011 annual remuneration package, including benefits, is R403 124.
