Description:
The Faculty of Humanities of the University of Göttingen invites applications for a full-time permanent position as Professor of Romance Linguistics (salary level W3) in the Department of Romance Philology (from April 2012). The future holder of the position is to represent Romance Philology from both a diachronic and synchronic perspective. He/she should be able to demonstrate focal areas of research in at least two Romance languages, in historical grammar, and in the systematic investigation of language (phonology, morphology, syntax or semantics). An interdisciplinary orientation is expected that will ensure not only collaboration with the other linguistic and philological departments in the Faculty of Humanities but also active participation in the ongoing development of the Faculty's research focus, 'Grammatical Interfaces'. Collaboration with the Courant Research Centre 'Text Structures' and the 'Göttingen Centre for Digital Humanities' is desired. Further information can be found at the application URL belowl.
