The international workshop 'Potentials of Language Documentation: Methods, Analyses, and Utilization', funded by the Volkswagen Foundation, will be held at the Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology in Leipzig on November 3-4, 2011. It brings together specialists from various disciplines to discuss future developments of documentary linguistics, with special emphasis on interdisciplinary research using language documentations. Guests are welcome to attend the workshop (free of charge). Guests are asked to register until October 16, 2011 by email to Claudia Schmidt (cschmidt eva.mpg.de).
