University of New England, NSW Australia Senior Lecturer in Linguistics/Applied Linguistics School of Behavioural, Cognitive and Social Sciences The School of BCSS is seeking to appoint a senior academic in the Linguistics discipline. The person must have a strong research profile and be able to teach a range of units in the general and applied linguistics program, in areas that complement existing staff strengths. Applicants must have a PhD in linguistics or applied linguistics, a strong record of publications and successful grant applications, demonstrated successful teaching record at undergraduate and graduate levels, and high- level administrative, communication and interpersonal skills. Research expertise in one or more of the following areas would be an advantage: language typology, sociolinguistics, language and culture studies, applications of linguistics. Armidale is a unique country town located on the New England Tablelands. It is surrounded by world heritage national parks, and is only 2 hours from the mid north coast.
