Meeting Description:

The University of Ottawa’s linguistics department is pleased to announce that it will be hosting its third annual Ottawa’s Conference for Linguistics Undergraduates (OCLU) on December 2nd and 3rd 2011. The goals of this conference are to promote undergraduate research and further the growth of the undergraduate linguistics community.

We encourage all students to come to the conference. The conference will cost students 5 dollars to attend with a wine and cheese, snacks, refreshments and an enriching experience included.

Le Département de linguistique de l’Université d’Ottawa est fier d’annoncer qu’il organisera sa troisième conférence pour les étudiants de premier cycle en linguistique le 2 et 3 décembre 2011. Le but de cette conférence est de promouvoir la recherche au premier cycle et d'agrandir la communauté des études de premier cycle en linguistique.

Nous encourageons tous les étudiants à venir à la conférence. La conférence coûtera 5 dollars pour les étudiants, avec un vin et fromages, des collations et une journée enrichie inclus.

Call for Papers:

If you are an undergraduate student and are interested in participating, you are encouraged to submit an abstract for a 20-minute talk with a 5-minute question period on any topic relating to linguistics. Abstracts must be a maximum of one-page in length (excluding references), they must be anonymous and must be submitted online as a Word document to ottawa.undergradcongmail.com by no later than Sunday, November 6th, 2011.
