Description:
The appointee will be able to cover the field of English linguistics, with a specialisation preferably in sociolinguistics and/or historical linguistics. He/She will have a PhD (or a corresponding title) in the field of English linguistics, experience in advanced academic-level English teaching and an outstanding international publication record in English linguistics. Teaching in the English department is in English, but the appointee will be expected to have a working knowledge of French. The appointee will be expected to teach 6 hours per week within the Bachelor and Master programme. He/She will be expected to take part in post-graduate teaching and to supervise graduate and doctoral dissertations. The appointee will be expected to pursue his/her own research and publish at an international level. He/She will be required to take on some of the administrative tasks of the Department and of the Faculty. Starting date : 1 August 2012
