Description:
The College of Humanities of the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras Campus, seeks to recruit candidates for tenure-track professorships to teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels and conduct research, starting in January 2012. Requirements: Doctorate with specialization in Luso-Brazilian Studies at an accredited university, teaching experience at the university level, competency in Spanish, the capacity or potential to conduct research in his/her area of specialization, a commitment to teaching excellence, skills in the use of computer-assisted language teaching and learning, experience in the acquisition of external funding and the teaching of elementary, intermediate and advanced courses in area of specialization. Priority will be given to candidates who are also able to teach German, Italian or French. Applications will be received until November 30, 2011. This job announcement is in effect for one year. Send a letter of intent in Spanish, curriculum vitae, a copy of the academic records with all transcripts, a statement of teaching philosophy, a published writing sample, student evaluations and three letters of recommendation to the application address below.
