Description:
The Division of Basic/Core Studies is now seeking 1 qualified applicant as a full-time professor with tenure-tracked starting from the Spring semester of 2012. The successful candidate will teach courses offered in English language education (i.e., listening, speaking, reading, and writing). She/he also has to participate in coordinating some administrative work. Ph.D must be present at the time of appointment. In addition, Ph.D in TESOL and applied linguistics or related fields is preferred, but such fields as in liberal arts and social science are also put into our consideration. Salary will be highly competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications with accommodation provided; however, minimum annual salary is 40,000,000 Won (about $40,000). Since the candidate is positioned in tenure-tracked, she/he has the same benefits as other Korean professors are assigned to receive. Shortlists for an interview and short lecture are provided with some amount of airline fare. Review of dossiers begins on November 14, 2011.
