Call for Papers: Journal of Language and Sexuality (JLS)

John Benjamins Publishing Company has launched a new journal, the Journal
of Language and Sexuality (JLS).

JLS is edited by William Leap (American University, Washington DC) and
Heiko Motschenbacher (Goethe-University, Frankfurt am Main). A
distinguished panel of international scholars
(http://www.benjamins.com/#catalog/journals/jls/board) serves as the journal's
editorial board.

JLS provides a space offering cutting edge research on the discursive
formations of sexuality, with queer theory being a major influence shaping the
ongoing discussion. Papers exploring linguistic dimensions of sexual desire,
sexual identities, sexual politics, and sexuality in diaspora are welcome as
are papers that foreground current directions in language and sexuality
studies unfolding in anthropology, sociology, pragmatics, semantics,
discourse analysis, applied linguistics, and in related academic disciplines.

The first issue of JLS (issue 1.1) will appear in spring 2012, with subsequent
issues appearing on six-month intervals. We are currently considering
manuscripts for publication in issue 2.1 (early 2013).

Guidelines for manuscript submission and instructions for authors are
available at:

http://benjamins.com/#catalog/journals/jls/guidelines .

Subscription rates and forms, instructions for ordering a free sample copy of
JLS, and additional information are available at:

http://www.benjamins.com/#catalog/journals/jls .
