Meeting Description:
The I International Meeting on Syntax and Semantics and their Interfaces (I Encontro Internacional de Sintaxe e Semântica e Suas Interfaces) will be held from August 25 - 26, 2011, at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul, in Porto Alegre, Brazil. The first topic of this meeting will be the syntax and semantics of time. Keynote Speakers: Emmon Bach Marcelo Ferreira Brenda Laca Östen Dahl Organizing Committee: Ana Maria Tramunt Ibaños Jorge Campos da Costa Karina Veronica Molsing
Call for Papers: We invite abstracts for oral presentations (twenty (20) minute presentation and ten (10) minute discussion) as well as posters on any topic related to the syntax and semantics of time. Abstracts should be strictly anonymous and should not exceed two (2) pages, including examples and references. Abstract Submission: Abstracts must be submitted electronically in word or pdf format to eissi.pucrs gmail.com. The subject should read 'abstract submission' and the body of the message should include the following information: author name; affiliation, email. The email should also indicate whether the abstract is to be considered for an oral presentation or a poster presentation. Papers and presentations will be accepted in English and Portuguese. Important Dates: Submission deadline: May 15, 2011 Notification of acceptance: June 15, 2011 Meeting date: August 25 - 26, 2011
