In the seventh anniversary of the death of Helmut Rix (4th of July 2004), the
Doctorate School in 'Storia linguistica del Mediterraneo antico' of the IULM
University, together with the l'Orientalisches Institut, Seminar für
Indogermanistik und Allgemeine Sprachwissenschaft of the Martin Luther
Universität in Halle, decided to pay a tribute to His memory with an
international Conference entitled 'Le lingue dell'Italia antica: iscrizioni, testi,
grammatica - Die Sprachen Altitaliens: Inschriften, Texte, Grammatik'.
