Meeting Description:

The Japanese/Korean Linguistics Conference is an annual forum for the researchers from any linguistic subfield that contributes to the linguistic studies of Japanese and Korean. Previous meetings mostly took place in North America, except for the meetings in Kyoto (in 2006) and Oxford (in 2010). This year, the 21st Japanese/Korean Linguistics Conference will be held on 20-22 October, at Seoul National University, Korea. The conference is organized by the Department of Linguistics and Language Research Institute of Seoul National University. The keynote speakers will be:

Professor David Pesetsky (MIT)
Professor Tomioka Satoshi (University of Delaware)
Professor Kie Zuraw (UCLA)
Professor Chai-sung Hong (Seoul National University)

Call for Papers:

We welcome abstract submissions for 20-minute presentations (followed by 10 minutes for discussion) on any subfield of Japanese or Korean linguistics. Abstracts should be in pdf form, a maximum of two pages in a font no smaller than 11pt. Submissions are now being accepted through EasyAbs at http://linguistlist.org/confcustom/JK2011.

The deadline for abstract submission is 15 May 2011, with notification by mid-July 2010. A maximum of one single-authored abstract and one co-authored abstract may be submitted per person.
