Dear LINGUIST List Subscribers,
Hello, my name is Kristen Dunkinson. I began working at LINGUIST List during the summer but in my short time here I feel that I have learned much. I currently work on the Endangered Languages Catalog (ELCat) project which has helped me to refine my research skills and has given me a better understanding of how project planning and project management are handled. I am also an editor for the job announcement posts on the LINGUIST List.
In my time working with our subscribers I have seen exactly how important the services we provide are to the linguistics community. Not only do our editorial posts offer a wealth of knowledge on various topics but our research projects create helpful tools that anyone can use. From creating language maps with LL-MAP (http://www.llmap.org/), to learning about best practices with EMELD (http://emeld.org/index.cfm), LINGUIST List has a lot to offer.
Please support LINGUIST today: https://linguistlist.org/donation/donate/donate1.cfm
The LINGUIST List provides the linguistics community around the world with vital information and tools as well as providing a wonderful learning environment for students. Students come out of the LINGUIST List prepared to be productive members in their field and ready for the next phase of their lives.
For all of these reasons I would ask that you please donate today: https://linguistlist.org/donation/donate/donate1.cfm
Your donations make it possible for us to maintain the amount of valuable information we host and distribute and allow us to fund student involvement.
Every donation counts, even $5 or $10 helps make the work that we do possible. No matter the amount your donation is a vital part of what makes LINGUIST List great.
Best regards,
Kristen L. Dunkinson LINGUIST List Jobs Editor
