Psychophysiology of human language and behaviour New Zealand Institute of Language, Brain & Behaviour (NZILBB) College of Arts, University of Canterbury Exciting opportunity in psycholinguistics and neuroscience in New Zealand Neurophysiological Correlates of Human Behaviour A 2 year Post-doctoral position is available with the New Zealand Institute of Language, Brain & Behaviour (http://www.nzilbb.canterbury.ac.nz/) at the University of Canterbury, New Zealand. We are seeking a full-time postdoctoral fellow to conduct research with institute members on the neurophysiological correlates of human behavior using EEG/ERP. NZILBB research explores human language and information processing across the lifespan. The fellow will have expertise in psychophysiology, particularly EEG methods, including experimental design, data capture, processing and analysis. We are seeking an innovative person with a background in cognitive science or neuroscience. Experience working with very young children is preferred but not essential. Expertise in eye tracking is an advantage. The fellow will lead the establishment and development of a new ERP lab based on the BioSemi system, Analyzer2 software (Brain Products) and E- Prime 2 Professional Edition. The fellow will oversee the establishment of the lab and work with team members to design and implement experiments, following through to co-publication. Co-supervision of PhD students is expected. During the tenure of the post the fellow will be provided with an opportunity to publish papers from their PhD (if necessary), to learn grantsmanship and to engage with members across the NZILBB.
