The Greek Applied Linguistics Association (GALA) announces its 15th International Conference to be held in Thessaloniki, Greece, on 23-25 November 2012. The theme of the conference will be Cross-curricular Approaches to Language Education. Participation Fee: Early registration (up to September 15, 2012): Standard fee (for non-GALA members): 60 euros Group fee (for at least three participants from the same Organisation): 50 euros Members of the Greek Applied Linguistics Association: 40 euros Student fee: 20 euros Late registration (after September 15, 2012): Standard fee (for non-GALA members): 70 euros Group fee (for at least three participants from the same Organisation): 60 euros Members of the Greek Applied Linguistics Association: 50 euros Student fee: 20 euros The fee includes the conference material, coffee service during the conference, and the reception. Call for Papers: We particularly invite papers in the following topics: Content-based Education Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) Immersion Education Language across the Curriculum Interdisciplinary Approaches to Language Education Those who wish to participate in the 15th International Conference with a presentation are invited to submit two copies of their abstracts (one anonymous and one signed) to gala-auth enl.auth.gr by 10 June 2012. Notification of acceptance will be sent on the 10 July 2012. Your abstract should be submitted electronically as a word and a pdf file. The anonymous copy should be free of references to the names of the author(s). The name 'Author' with the publication date of the article can be used instead. Submissions should be in the following format: Length: 500 words (including bibliography) Font: Times New Roman 12pt Space: Single Margins: 1 inch (2.5cm) all sides For the signed copy: Title, author(s), affiliation, email address (centered) For the anonymous copy: Title (centered) Each participant is entitled to submit only one (single or joined) paper-presentation. The papers may be presented in Greek, English or French and they will be 20 minutes long, followed by a 10-minute discussion. Selected papers of the conference will be published.
