Registration Fees: Chilean and foreign teachers: 45,000 CLP Professors: 45,000 CLP Local (Arica) school teachers: 25,000 CLP Universidad de Tarapacá part-time teachers: 25,000 CLP Students: 20,000 CLP Call for Papers: Effectiveness is a goal as well as a must for the successful foreign language teacher. Although there is a wide range of approaches to achieve teaching effectiveness, there are three major areas that should be of interest for generating, improving and evaluating teacher effectiveness, namely teacher training programs, subject contents and student participation. In this context, the Conference Committee calls for papers and workshops on the effectiveness in the teaching, learning and assessment of English listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. Abstract Submission: Closing date: May 30, 2012 Each presentation will last 20 minutes plus 10 minutes for questions and comments. Each workshop will last no longer than 90 minutes (including questions and comments). The official language of the Conference is English.
