In addition to the Linguistics Department, The University of Canterbury is home to the New Zealand Institute for Language, Brain and Behaviour (NZILBB, www.nzilbb.canterbury.ac.nz/), a new center where researchers study the foundations of language as an integrated, multimodal, statistical system operating in a social, physical and physiological context.
