Dear LINGUIST List Subscribers,

Soooo close! Syntax is sooo close to taking the lead once again. Even with the
heroic efforts from Roger Shuy and the Sociolinguistic group to raise $7094,
Syntax looks poised to reclaim their title with $7082. With only $12 needed to
match Sociolinguistics, will Syntax take the lead, or will Sociolinguistics fight
to widen the gap? Donate today to determine the victor!

We'd also like to recognize some of our other subfields who are performing
admirably in this battle. Semantics is now in third place and racing towards the
$5000 mark with $4441. Computational Linguistics is not far behind with $4019.
Language Acquisition is also one of our distinguished top five champions with a
total of $3390! Want to rearrange the board a bit or see your subfield in this
list? Make a statement with your contribution today!

Three cheers for all the subfields!

Enthusiastically yours,

The LINGUIST List Crew
