We are happy to announce that the 43rd Poznań Linguistic Meeting (PLM2012) will take place on 8-10 September 2012 in Poznań, Poland. The Meeting will be organised by the School of English, Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznań. The leitmotif will be 'Theory and Evidence in the Study of Language'. Plenary Speakers: Keynote address by Sarah Hawkins (University of Cambridge) Confirmed Plenaries: Dirk Geeraerts (University of Leuven) Piotr Gasiorowski (Adam Mickiewicz University) Book Presentation: Peter Trudgill 'Sociolinguistic typology: Social determinants of linguistic complexity' Venue: The 43rd PLM will be held at the new Collegium Iuridicum Novum building, active since October 2010 and officially inaugurated in December 2010 to house the AMU Faculty of Law and Administration.
Call for Papers: We would like to remind those who are considering submission for the 43rd Poznan Linguistic Meeting (PLM2012) that the deadline for general sessions papers and posters is March 30, 2012. Please visit our website http://ifa.amu.edu.pl/plm/2012/ to learn more about the conference as well as to consult detailed guidelines. We invite abstracts for oral or poster presentations at the general sessions (not necessarily related to the conference theme). We also invite submissions of abstracts for oral presentations at 5 thematic sessions and a Celtic satellite session (please consult the individual descriptions of thematic sessions for details on submissions and deadlines).
