The aim of the meeting is to bring together researchers working on a wide range of Developmental and Acquired Language Disorders. It also seeks to provide an overview of the state-of-the-art research in language pathology, explore new directions and emerging trends in Language Disorders, while focusing on Greek as the main empirical domain. Special emphasis is given on comparative work, either between Greek and some other language(s), or on bilingualism/multilingualism when one of the languages is Greek. Research on typical language development is also considered. The meeting started eight years ago as an initiative of the Technological Educational Institute of Patras and now the University of Patras is joining, in a common effort to promote research on Language Disorders and create a forum where younger researchers working on Greek will interact and network with renowned scholars working on language impairments in Greek and beyond. Invited Speakers: Maria Kambanaros (University of Cyprus) Cynthia Thompson (Northwestern University) Ianthi-Maria Tsimpli (Aristotle University of Thessaloniki) Laurie Tuller (Université François-Rabelais, Tours) Program Committee: Dimitra Ioannou (Technological Educational Institute of Patras) Angeliki Kotsopoulou (Technological Educational Institute of Patras) Christina Manouilidou (University of Patras) Arhonto Terzi (Technological Educational Institute of Patras) 2nd Call for Papers: We are accepting abstracts for oral or poster presentations. Any topic of phonology, morphology, syntax, semantics, or pragmatics is welcome. Oral presentations will last 30 min with an additional 10 min question period. Abstracts should be one page long with at least one-inch margin on all sides and fonts no smaller than 12 point. Α second page may contain graphs or references. Abstracts should be sent in Word or pdf format to: langdisordersgreek4teipat.gr.
