As well as carrying out undergraduate teaching in the areas specified, the successful candidate will be expected to undertake supervision of undergraduate and postgraduate projects on topics related to the areas specified above. The successful candidate will hold a PhD in Sociolinguistics or Second Language Learning and Teaching, have a good research profile and experience of teaching in these areas as well as core areas of English Language, such as Grammar and Phonetics/Phonology. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is an important requirement of this post.
