Dear LINGUIST List Subscribers,

Fund Drive 2012 breathes its last today, with the release of
the final LingQuest Saga chapter. Read the conclusion of
our heroes' adventures, and their showdown with the Mysterious
Villain who's been dogging Panglossia:


We'd also like to congratulate the last batch of prize winners:

Kathryn Pruitt (University of Massachussetts Amherst) won one
of the Speculative Grammarian magnets!

Katja Jasinskaja (Zentrum fur Allgemeine Sprachwissenschaft)
and Effi Georgala (Universite de Geneve) won one-year
subscriptions to Human Language Technologies from Morgan &

Anni Sairio (University of Helsinki), Clarissa Surek-Clark
(University of Washington), and Aung Si (Australian National
University) won English linguistics books from Routledge!

Eugenia Romanova (Institute of International Relations,
Yekaterinburg) won the entire Understanding Language series
from Hodder Education!

Carleen Gruntman (Universite Laval), Joanne Scheibman (Old
Dominion University), and Daniel Bishop (Indiana University)
won applied linguistics books from Routledge!

Rachel Nye (GIST, Ghent University) and Amelie Rocquet (also
coincidentally of Ghent University) won subscriptions to the
Routledge journals of their choice!

And last but not least, Kenneth Mallott won a copy of English
as a Lingua France from Bloomsbury/Continuum!
