Meeting Description:
Languages & Business is an international conference on the topic of business communication and intercultural communication in internationally oriented companies. High on the conference agenda are case studies of language training in the everyday business world, cross-border projects and new challenges trainers must face when teaching language and intercultural skills. Languages & Business 2012 brings together human resource managers from companies and institutions, trade associations, universities as well as trainers for transnational exchange. In addition, the accompanying exhibition will allow both providers and users to come together to discuss recent trends, exchange ideas and find relevant solutions for their individual requirements. The conference languages are English and German.
Call for Papers: We look forward to receiving papers which demonstrate practical experience in gaining intercultural competencies and using foreign languages in international business or which detail new methods of language training. Each speaker will have approximately 20-30 minutes for presentations. Abstracts of approximately 200 words should be submitted through an online form, which you can find here: https://www.icwe-secretariat.com/icwe_proposals/proposal_submission.php?conferenceId=SUB&conferenceYear=2012&lang=2 Notification of acceptance will be sent at the end of May.
