Meeting Description:
The 3rd FLLT International Conference, organized by the Language Institute of Thammasat University, Thailand, aims to bring together researchers, practitioners and educators with common interests in language learning and pedagogy at all levels from around the world. This biennial conference under the theme 'Research, Renovation and Reinforcement: Enhancing Quality in Language Education' is designed to attract the research communities to promote connections between theory and quality practice, renovating and reinforcing research application into classroom practice.
Call for Papers: We welcome themes that are related, but not limited, to the following foreign language fields: - Language acquisition and learning - Language education - Linguistics - Applied linguistics - Language teacher education - TESOL / TESL / TEFL - Language curriculum development - Language teaching methodology - Language testing and assessment - Language program evaluation - English for specific purposes - Independent / autonomous learning - Professional development - Innovation in language teaching and learning Note: Proposals on other streams may also be considered. In particular, preference will be given to papers that investigate connections between research, theory, and practice. We are inviting proposals for an individual paper of a 30-minute presentation and also a proposal for a non-commercial poster presentation. Each presenter can only participate in one, be it a 30-minute or a poster presentation. Deadline for abstract submission: 16 November 2012 Notification of acceptance: 21 December 2012 Abstract Submission: Please send an abstract as an attachment in Microsoft Word Document. Evaluation of Proposal: Your proposal will be evaluated by two referees on the basis of the following: Relevance, appropriateness, and significance of the topic to the conference theme Originality of the Work: Clarity of stated research objectives, description of research design, data collection methods, and findings, as appropriate Submissions must be in a single file and must include the following details: Page 1 - Title of paper (no more than 50 characters including spaces) - Name of presenter(s) and affiliation(s). - Name must be written as FAMILY, GIVEN. (e.g. SMITH, JOHN) - Contact information: email address, fax number, telephone number including country code, and mailing address - 50 word bio-data of presenter(s) Page 2 - Title of paper (no more than 50 characters including spaces) - 200-250 word abstract in English - Your abstract will be reviewed in a double blind matter, so do not include your name on this page. Please note: Your paper must be in a Plain Text. Do not format your paper. Your abstract file must be named: Abstract_(your family name) e.g. 'Abstract_Smith.doc' Please send an abstract as an attachment to fllt_abstract yahoo.com. Conference Proceedings: All presenters whose abstracts have been accepted can submit their papers to be included in the Proceedings of the 3rd FLLT International Conference 2013, which will be published in CD-ROM format and given at the conference.
